Emergency Number Professionals
in
North Carolina

The Emergency Number Professional program is a national certification established by NENA as a tool to establish the benchmarks of performance that will signify a broad-based competence in the professional field of 9-1-1.   By successfully completing this certification program, these individuals have:

bullet

demonstrated a mastery of the comprehensive knowledge base required for emergency number program management.

bullet

help to raise industry standards and increase the respect and prestige of those involved in 9-1-1.

bullet

confirmed their commitment to the 9-1-1 profession by showing themselves to be a leader in public safety and pledging to stay aware of current issues and developments in the field.

Latest ENP News in Our State:

We are pleased to announce the following information concerning upcoming ENP Study Sessions for the 2007 year!  We apologize for being a little late in publishing the information.

First of all, we have heard from many of you who have expressed a desire to prepare for the upcoming exam in OCTOBER.  Candidates can test in April and October at a LaserGrade Test Center of their choice within a specified time frame in each of these months. Since April is not feasible due to preparation time, our candidates should plan for October.  

ENP Study Sessions will be held as follows:

March 2 Location: Durham 9-1-1
Time: 9:00 – 1500 hours
Topic: Management of E911 and Human Resources

April 13 Location: Goldsboro 9-1-1
Time: 9:00 – 1500 hours
Topic: Radio

May 18 Location: Raleigh 9-1-1
Time: 9:00 – 1500 hours
Topic: Network and Transport

June Location: TBA
Topic: Disaster Planning

July TBA

August Location: Greensboro
Time: 9:00 – 1500 hours
Topic: Phones

September Location: Wilmington (State Conference)
Time: TBA
Topic: Review

Directions to the locations will be given at a later date. We will also have a meeting for current ENP’s who need credit towards their re-certification, Time and Place to be announced later.
